ATHENS | UGA to screen Tuskegee Airmen documentary

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia will hold a screening of a documentary on the role of the Tuskegee Airmen in World War II.

The documentary, called "Double Victory," is the educational companion piece to the movie "Red Tails," both produced by George Lucas and his company, Lucasfilm. It features interviews with UGA's history department head John Morrow.

Morrow, an expert in the history of military aviation, will host a question-and-answer session after the screening.

The event is Friday Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. in room 171 of the Miller Learning Center at UGA.

Morrow first joined forces with Lucasfilm in the early 1990s when he provided content for documentaries that accompanied the TV show "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles."
