ATHENS, Ga. -- A 15-year-old girl is facing charges after police say she shot at a school bus as it traveled through a neighborhood in Athens.
Police say the shot, fired from outside the bus, broke one of its windows.
The driver was the only person in the bus when it happened around 2 p.m. Monday. No one was injured.
Police say the driver recognized the teen as a student who had been on his bus before, and officers arrested her at her home not far from the shooting scene, in the area of Westchester Drive and Chalfont Lane.
Police charged with girl with a terroristic act and interference with government property, both felonies, and released her to her mother. The girl's name wasn't released.
