ADOPT A PET: Meet Bailey | Pets
ATLANTA - If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half-chewed shoe or an overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local Humane Society. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a companion for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.
According to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, Bailey is an eleven-month-old puppy and she is available for adoption at the Humane Society. Bailey is a small, blonde Shepherd and Labrador mix and will grow to be about 80lbs. Expect her to be very active and, somewhat, destructive until she matures or is trained.
The adoption fee for Bailey is $100 and covers his spay surgery, up-to-date vaccinations and micro chipping. For more information, visit the website at www.hsnega.org or call the shelter at 770-532-6617, Mon.-Sat. 10-5 and Sun. 1-5. The Humane Society is located at 845 West Ridge Road in Gainesville.
