Voters to choose State House representative for Northeast Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. -- Voters in House District 113 are choosing between Republican Chuck Williams and Democrat Dan Matthews in a special election runoff for a seat in the Georgia House.

The winner of Tuesday's special election will represent Oconee and parts of Clarke, Morgan and Oglethorpe counties.

Williams received 39 percent of the vote and Matthews got 27 percent last month, leading to a runoff in the special election to replace former state Rep. Hank Huckaby.

Huckaby resigned in May to become University of Georgia System chancellor.
