Glamour editor to speak at UGA
ATHENS, Ga. -- A top editor from Glamour magazine is set to speak at the University of Georgia.
Cindi Leive is editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine and glamour.com, which together reach more than 15 million readers each month. Glamour outsells most other magazines and has also had great success on electronic platforms like the iPad.
Leive's talk is called "Magazines From Now On: What Works (and What Doesn't) in the Age of Twitter and Facebook." It will be held at 4 p.m. on Apr. 19 in the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries auditorium.
Leive also serves on the board of directors for the International Women's Media Foundation and is former president of the American Society of Magazine Editors. Prior to joining Glamour in May 2001, she served as editor-in-chief of Self magazine.
